Saxophone - Clarinet - Flute - Piano - Jazz Improvisation - Clinician
With over 15 years of individual and classroom teaching experience, and as a graduate of the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati (CCM) in Jazz Studies, Tom offers an inspired approach to childhood-adult musical instruction. His highly recommended music tutoring business is based in Mercer County, New Jersey, and instructs motivated students in Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Piano, Jazz Improvisation, and Composition.
Tom's private instruction is customized for each student's individual needs. In addition to the fundamentals of music, technique, and musical interpretation through reading, students have the opportunity to explore varied musical styles including, classical, jazz and jazz improvisation, pop and rock, theory, and composition.
Tom is an experienced high school and college clinician, and was an artist faculty member at Mercer County College from 1999 through 2006, as well as The Westminster Conservatory in Princeton, NJ.
Tom is also active in tutoring children and adult students with Autism on the piano, with the Princeton Child Development Institute (PCDI).
Between 2004 and 2008 he organized the Central New Jersey Homeschool Bands, which provided home-schooled students the opportunity to rehearse and perform in an interactive musical environment.
During the spring of 2009 Tom organized a non-profit arts organization called 'Living Arts Outreach, Inc.' This organization is committed to creating charitable fund raisers, educational programs, arts awareness events, performance opportunities, and community outreach programs for performing artists; including musicians, dancers and visual artists. More information about Living Arts Outreach events will be posted in the coming months.
